All Contractors of category GC/BC-7 and above, with license from
Ministry of Works and Urban Development registration and VAT
registered valid for the year 1999 E.C.
1. The
Norwegian Church Aid/Ethiopia (NCA/E) in cooperation with the
Federal Disaster Prevention and Preparedness Agency (DPPA); invites
all interested and eligible contactors for constructions of Relief
Food Outlets/Stores with capacity of 350m3 and area of 160 m2 each.
2. Locations
of the construction sites are Nemelenfen, Afambo and Dubti
towns of Telalak, Afambo and Dubti Woredas of
Afar
National Regional State and Sakina Village of Darolebu Woreda in
West Hararge Zone of Oromia National Regional State respectively.
3. Interested
eligible bidders can purchase the bidding documents from ECA/Ethiopia,
whose office if located at Addis Ababa, Wello Sefer, in front of
Tebaber
Berta
Building, 1st floor Room
No. 8, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 100 in cash
during working hours.
4. Bids
must be accompanied by bid security of not less than 1% of the total
bid priced in unconditional Bank guarantee or certified cheque
(CPO), and the bids should be delivered in a wax-sealed envelope to
NCA/Ethiopia within 10 days from the ate of announcement.

6. The
bidders are instructed/expected to submit original and one
copy of their bid documents, experiences on similar works and
other relevant supporting documents as testimonials.
7. The
bidders are instructed to fill, sign and seal their entire bid
document sheet.
8. The
closing date for the submission of tenders will be on the tenth day
from the date of announcement at
5:00 P.M.
9. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their legal
representatives in the Conference Room No NCA/Ethiopia on the
eleventh day from the date of announcement at
9:30 A.M.
10. The
Norwegian Church Aid/Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject
any or all bids.
