The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
has received a Grant from the Government of the Italian Republic
towards the cost of the Education Sector Development Program (ESDP).
It is intended that part of the proceeds of this grant will be
applied to eligible payments under this contact(s).
2.
The Ministry of Education (MOE), on behalf of Addis Ababa
Tegbareid and General Wingate TVET Colleges, now invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for the supply of

College:
Lot 1: Furniture for
classrooms, drafting rooms, computer class, workshop and library
Lot 2: Computers and
accessories, overhead projectors, white boards, duplicating and
photocopy machines
Lot 3: Books for library
For General Wingate TVET College:
Lot 4: Furniture for class
rooms, drafting rooms, computer class, workshop and library
Lot 5: Computers and
accessories, overhead projectors, white boards, duplicating and
photocopy machines
Lot 6: Books for library
Bidders have the option to bid for
any or more lots. Bids will be evaluated and contracts awarded
taking into consideration discounts offered, if any, in determining
the lowest evaluated cost, which will be the basis for award of
contract(s). Bidders not offering technically responsive offer for
at least 90% of the line items value in a lot may be treated as
incomplete and rejected as non responsive.
3.
Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive
Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank Guidelines:
Procurement under IBRD Loan and IDA Credits, and is open to all
bidders from eligible source counties as defined in the Guidelines.

5. A
complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on submission of a written application to the
office above upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$ 10 or 90
ETB for local bidders and US$ 50 or 450 ETB for foreign bidders.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the office above at or before 10:00 AM, 10th
of August 2007 and must be accompanied by a bid security of not less
than 2% (Two percent) of the bid amount in the form of either a
certified check, letter of credit or bank guarantee from banking
institution counter guaranteed by local banks. Bid security in the
form of insurance bond shall not be accepted.
7. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend at 10:30 A.M, 10th of August 2007 at the
Ministry of Education New Building Conference Room, Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia.
8. Late
bids will be rejected. |
