The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
ahs received a loan from the Arab Bank for Economic Development in
Africa (BADEA), in various currencies toward the cost of Kibre
Mengist Water Supply Project. It is intended that part of the
proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments for the
following contract.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security valid for 150
days after bids closing date and to be in Ethiopian Birr or its
equivalent in US Dollars as shown below.

The bid security to be in the form of:
Bank guarantee by a reputable bank in the sample form provided in
the bidding documents, in cash or certified Cheque from a bank in
Ethiopia.

Bids shall be valid for 120 days after the closing date.
6)
There will be no pre-bid conference; however bidders are
encouraged to acquaint themselves with the site conditions.
7)
Bids evaluation will not subjected to post-qualification,
local bidders for Bid No. 2 construction of civil works should
conform to GC-1 to qualify for bidding. When the performance ability
and goods quality are comparable, performance will be-given to Arab,
African or Arab-African firms.
8)
Bids will be opened at 2:00 PM hours of the closing date at
the Oromia Water Resources Bureau in the presence of representatives
of bidders who choose to attend.
9)
Oromia Water Resources Bureau is not bound to accept the
lowest or any other bid. |
