1. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a credit/grant from the
International Development Association (IDA) toward the cot of Rural
Water Supply Project and intends to apply a portion of this credit
to eligible payments under this Contract.
2. The
Amhara National Regional State Water Resources Development Bureau
(AWRDB) now invites prospective bidders for the provision of
consultancy services presenting separate technical and financial
proposals to: (a) Perform Hydrogeological and geophysical study and
borehole site selection (b) Perform Supervision. The details are in
RFP document.

3. The
award will be decided on a lot-by-lot basis. Bidder will not bid for
more than one lot.
4. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures as specified in the World Bank’ Guidelines and further
information may be obtain from AWRDB.
5.
Bids shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after
bid opening. Bids must be accompanied by bid security of not less
than 1% of the total amount of base bid price in the form of Cash or
Certified Check (CPO).
6. Bids
shall be submitted in sealed envelopes to AWRDB, to Procurement
Service Office, Ground Floor, Room number 06, at Bahir Dare town
starting from the first announcement on The Ethiopian Herald until
9:00 AM, July 11th, 2007 only on working days and office
hours.
7. Bids
shall be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders at 10:00 AM,
July 11th, 2007 at Procurement Service Office of AWRDB.
Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be
rejected.
8. Bidders
are required to submit original copies of trade license valid for
the year 1999 ETH Cal,. And other required legal certificates.
9.
AWRDB reserves the right to reject all or part of the bids.
10.
A complete set of bid document (RFP) in English may be
purchased directly from AWRDB, Ground Floor, Room No. 06, Bahir Dar
upon payment of a non-refundable fee Birr 200 by interested bidders
on submission of a written application to the address indicated
below:
