1.
The Oromia Water Resources Bureau (OWRB) has scurried budget
from:-
National Regional State of Oromia
Menschen fur menschen (NGO)
International Development
Association (IDA)
Babile Town administration and
Community
Toward the cost of Water Supply,
Sanitation, and Hygiene program and it intends to apply part o the
proceeds of this fund to payments under the Contract for
construction of civil works, installation of pipes and fittings of
Babile town Water Supply rehabilitation/expansion project.
2. The
Oromia Water Resources Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible
and qualified bidders for the construction of civil works of Babile
Town Water Supply Rehabilitation/Expansion project. The construction
period if 420 calendar days.
3. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the procurement guidelines set out by the
Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MOFED), and is open to
all bidders category BC-3 and above. The bidders shall furnish copy
of its renewed license for the current fiscal year 2006/2007 (1999
E.C) from Ministry of Works and Urban Development/Ministry of Water
Resources and registration certificate of VAT.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Oromia Water
Resources Bureau, Finfinnee, Ethiopia (P.O. Box 8630, Tel. 251-115

No. 6-4), and inspect the bidding documents at the address given

5. A
complete set of bidding documents in the English Language may be
purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written
application to the address below and upon payment of non-refundable
fee of Birr 250.
6. Bids
must be delivered toe the address above on or before July 2, 2007,
12:00 AM. Bids will be opened
in the presence of the bidders who choose to attend at the address
above at 2:00 PM on the same
date at Oromia Water Resources Bureau Conference Hall. Electronic
bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
7. Bids
shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after opening. Bids
must be accompanied by bid security of not less than 1% of the total
