The Federal Government of Ethiopia has allocated budget
toward the cost of the Universal Electricity Access Program for
increasing people’s access to Electricity in rural towns and
villages
2.
The Implementing Agency, Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation
(EEPCo) now invites all interested and eligible bidders for the
following contracts:-
Lot 1 : Supply of 1,950- assorted
Distribution Transformers
Lot 2: Supply of 9,800 assorted Low
Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgears
Lot 3: Supply of 60,800km of
assorted All Aluminum Alloy Conductors and 299,000kg of Galvanized
Steel Wire and Aluminum Round Tie Wire for All Aluminum Conductors
Lot 4: Supply of 3,400km of assorted
Aerial Bundled Cables and 2,700kg Stranded Copper Wire
Lot 5: Supply of 720,000 Medium
Voltage Insulators
Lot 6: Supply of 113,360 assorted
Medium Voltage Cross Arms
Lot 7: Supply of 42,900 assorted
Overhead Line Accessories
Lot 8: supply of 3,500 assorted

Bidding will be conducted through the Intentional Competitive
Bidding (ICB)
4.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information
from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of:

The bid document shall be available from June 18, 2007 onward
against payment of non-refundable fee of ETH Birr 500.00 for each
lot.
6.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of USD
12,000.00 (Twelve Thousand USD) or equivalent amount and must be
delivered to the address above at or before 11:30 Hours local time
on August 01, 2007.
7.
Each bid security shall be counter guaranteed by any bank in
the purchaser’s country.
8.
Bids will be opened on August 01, 2007, 14:30 Hours local
time in the presence of all the bidders or their representatives who
choose to attend at EEPCO Club, Mexico Square, Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia.
9.
The Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation reserves the right
to reject all or part of this bid.
