Tendaho Sugar Factory Project (TSFP), Ethiopia, on behalf of the
Government of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia intends to
install one new sugar factory with a designed cane crushing capacity
of 26,000 TCD (tons per day) including cogeneration. The project
site is located at about 600 km from Addis Ababa in Northeast
direction, in the Lower
Awash Valley of the Afar
Administrative region of Ethiopia. Tendaho project site is adjacent
to the Addis-Djibouti., tarmac highway with a convenient distance of
about 350 km from Port of
Djibouti in West direction.
INVITATION FOR BIDS
TSFP invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Procurement of
civil works for non plant buildings and site development works
of the Project. The scope of work comprises of all civil,
structural, sanitary and drainage and internal electrification work
for the following Non
Plant Buildings and Site Development
Works as per the technical specifications laid down in the bid
documents.
The buildings are Technical Offices and Central Levorotary, Lime &
Chemical Store, General Factory Store, Store yard, Central Work
shop, Administrative Building, Time Office, Security & Gate Office,
Agricultural Office, Training Center, Fire Station, Car, Motorcycle
& Cycle parking sheds and site development works with Main Boundary
well, secondary boundary wall, Roads, Drainage, Pavements, Site
grading, leveling and any other related civil work.
Bidding will be conducted through local competitive bidding
procedures specified in the bid document and is open to all the
eligible bidders from Ethiopian firms, Join Ventures,
Consortiums. Bidders will be selected through a transparent process
in accordance with the requirements defined in the bid documents for
selection of bidders.
Only firms registered with the
Ministry of Works and Urban Development, Government of Ethiopia
under class BC 1 or GC 1 are eligible to bid.
Each bid is to be accompanied with a bid security amount of ETB
100,000 (Ethiopian Birr One Hundred Thousand only) in an acceptable
format.
A
complete set of bid documents may be purchased, by eligible bidders
on submission of written application to the above address and upon
payment of non-refundable fee of ETB 2,000 (Ethiopian Birr Two
thousand only) in the name of Tendaho Sugar Factory Project (TSFP),
Ethiopia by Demand Draft or Banker’s cheque payable at Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia.
Bid documents will be available at the following address for
purchase from 20th June, 2007 during the office
hours 0900 h to 1130 h & 1330 h to 1600 h up to the bid closing date
eat TSFP, Ethiopia.

Bids must be delivered on specified adders & date in Addis Ababa
Ethiopia. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their
authorized representatives on the specified address & date in Addis
Ababa-Ethiopia.
TSFP will have the discretion to modify the minimum eligibility
criteria, if required. TSFP reserves the right to accept or reject
any or all bids.
