1.
The Mekelle City Administration invites eligible Contractors
of Category GC-2/BC-1 and above for the construction of Mekelle City
Administration Office Building.
2.
Eligible Criteria:
i.
Have 1999 E.C Renewed Trade License
ii.
Be VAT registered
iii.
Have regular Registration certificate from Ministry of Works
and Urban Development and
iv.
Temporarily Registration certificate from Regional Urban
Development and Construction bureau

4. The
Tender document and tender drawings and can purchased by an
interested eligible bidder upon a payment of a non-refundable fee of
Birr 500.00.
5. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security not less than 1% of the
bid amount. The bid security shall be payable on demand to the
employer, and must be submitted from any legally registered Bank in
the form of certified payment Order (C.P.O.) Bid validity required
is 90 calendar days.
6. Wax-sealed
envelopes containing offer for furnishing all labor, equipment and
material and for performing and completing all works as illustrated
and described in the offer documents shall be submitted to the
Mekelle city administration office No. 04, P.O. Box 52 Mekelle on or
before July 3, 2007 at 12:00 AM
The envelopes shall be submitted as
follows:
6.1
A separate envelopes sealed and marked “BID BOND” carrying
the contractor’s bid security
6.2
A second envelope sealed and marked “ORIGINAL DOCUMENT”
carrying the originals of the document.
6.3
A third envelope sealed and marked “COPY OF OFFER DOCUMENT”
carrying the copies of the document.
6.4
The outer and inner envelopes shall bear the full address of
the contractor. The out envelopes shall also bear the following” DO
NOT OPEN BEFORE insert opening date”.
7. Contractors
are advised to read the instruction to bidders before filling on
their bids.
8. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders or bidders’
representatives who choose to attend at the Mekelle City
Administration on July 3, 2007
at 2:00 PM.
9. Mekelle
City Administration reserves the right to reject any or all bids. To
waive informalities, to advertise for new bids or to proceeds and do
the service otherwise as may be for its best interest
