The Government of Ethiopia has received a credit from International
Development association (IDA) for Public Sector Capacity Building
Program Support Project (PSCAP) and it intends to apply part of the
proceeds for the invitation of qualified consulting firm for the
production of diversified ICT related programs that are aimed at
creating and promoting ICT awareness to the general public in three
Ethiopian languages through television and five Ethiopian languages
through radio. The service includes.
Producing News from the agency and
other stakeholders by conducting an interview with regional ICT
units, public and private academic insinuations & firms engaged in
ICT, collecting educational, scholarship, employment news.
Capture grand projects imitated by
the agency in the delivery of the programs.
Identifying the conducting
interviews with individuals who have come up with ICT related
innovations & conduct discussions forum with key stakeholders.
To assess adaptive technologies
available for people with physical and mental disables in using ICT.
Identifying and capturing programs
related with youth and women empowerment using ICT.
Produce the programs in Amharic,
Oromiffa and Tigrigna languages for television system and Amharic,
Oromifa and Tigrigna, Afaraf and Somali languages for radio system.
The programs produced are to be
broadcasted over a period of one year in thee Ethiopian languages
for the television systems in Tigrigna, Oromiffa and Amharic
language and five languages in the above and Afaraf and Somali
languages for radio programs.
The Ethiopian Information and Communication Technology Development
Agency (EICTDA) under the ICT Capacity Building Program of PSCAP now
invites eligible Consulting firms to indicate their interest in
providing the services. The programs produced are to be broadcasted
over a periods of one year. Interested conditions must provide
information indicating that they are qualified to perform the
services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience
in similar in accordance with the procedures set out in the World
Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and employment of consultants by World
Bank Borrower dated May 2004.
