The Ministry of Mines and Energy, on behalf of the Federal
Democratic Republic Government of Ethiopia, invites technically and
financially competent, and legally established companies to bid for
blocks 7 and 8 of the Ogaden
Basin to undertake petroleum
exploration.
Companies willing to participate in the bidding are required to
collect bid documents from the following address starting from the
date of announcement in The Ethiopian Herald.

The deadline for submission of the proposal shall be April 10, 2007
at local time 12:00 A.M.
The Ministry of Mines and Energy shall undertake a per-qualification
screening before conducting bid evaluation based n financial and
technical competency and legal establishment of companied.
Award shall be made in accordance with the bid evaluation procedure
contained in the bid document.
The address to sent or deliver your proposal and necessary documents
shall be the address specified under section V of the instruction to
