Invitation For Procurement of

Different Items

Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of the following items.

1.      The tenders remain floating from march 19,2007, until April 9, 2007. Bid documents can be obtained from ETC’s Head Office Room No. 207 during office hours upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 30.00 (Thirty Birr) for each tender. Bidders should submit their renewed original license & VAT certificate with copies when they come to obtain the bid documents.

2.      Bidders shall furnish as part of their bid, bid security of Birr 10,000.00 (Birr Ten Thousand) for each tender.

3.      The Bid bond must be in either of the following form:

a)      cash

b)      Certified cheque (CPO) issued by a recognized bank or

c)      Bank guarantee from recognized bank.

4.      Bidders who wish to submit bid security in the form of cash are required to deposits it to ETC’s Head Office 3^rd floor Room No. 311 before April 10,2007 9:30 A.M. and produce the receipt during the bid opening.

5.      Bidders should prepare their offer in a wax-sealed envelope and deposit in the box situated at 1^st Floor Room No. 112 on April 9, 2007 before 5:00 P.M.

6.      Bids will be opened in the presence of interested bidders or their representatives at ETC’s Head Office Room No. 110 according to the following schedule:
