NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BIDS
1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated
sufficient budget towards the cost of construction of the under
listed projects and intends to apply part of this budget to payments
under these contracts.

2. The
Ethiopian Road Authority invites all contractors of Category GC-1 or
RC-1 registered at the Ministry of Works & Urban Development.
3. Contractors
should renew their Registration License for 1999 Ethiopian Calendar
Year.
4. Interested
bidders may obtain further information and collect the bidding
document from Ethiopian Roads Authority, Engineering Services
Procurement Branch Office, 2nd Floor, Room No. 204, Fax:
251-1-50 00 82 or 251-1-51 48 66, Tel: 251-1-15 30 15.
5. The
Bidding Documents can be purchased as of March 13, 207 for all
project presentation of a registration certificate from Ministry f
Works & Urban Development, VAT registration certificate and on
submission of a written application to the Engineering Services,
Procurement, Design and Technical Support Division of ERA and upon
payment of non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 750.00 (Birr Seven
Hundred Fifty) made payable to Ethiopian Roads Authority for each
project.
6. Bidders
shall prepare and submit two separate sealed envelopes for the
“Qualification Document” and the “Bid” both of which shall be
enclosed in an outer envelope marked as “Bid Document for (Name of
the Project)”. The bid document shall be accompanied by an
acceptable bid security as indicated in the bidding document and
should be enclosed in the envelope containing the “Qualification
Document”.
7. The
bid documents and shall be prepared in one original and four copies
and must be submitted to the Director General Office, Ethiopian
Roads Authority, P.O. Box 1770, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Fax 251-1-51
48 66, Tel. 251-1-15 66 03 on or before the time indicated below

Bids can be submitted for one or multiple contracts however
discounts offered on condition of multiple contract awards will not
be considered.
9. Bid
documents will be opened immediately after the closing time for
submission in the presence of ERA Contract Award Committee & bidders
/representatives who wish to attend.
10. Bid
document, which is received late, will not be considered.
11.
ERA reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
