1.
The Hawassa University, hereafter referred to as HU, hereby
invites proposals (Technical and Financial) for:
a)
The supply of servers, active networking devices and
accessories, and
b)
Networking Installation, Testing and Commissioning
2.
All equipments and the related services cited above to be
supplies from any eligible source under this tender must conform toe
international standard and norms.
3. Detail
information will be found in the bidding documents which are
obtainable during working hours from Property and Procurement
Section of the University, Hawassa, or from Ministry of Education
office No. 119 Hawassa University Liaison Office upon payment of a
non-refundable amount of Birr 100 (One Hundred).
4. Bidders
requiring bidding document by first class air mail should send
crossed bank draft of Birr 100 (One Hundred) or an equivalent amount
in foreign currency drawn in favor of Hawassa University in addition
to the price of document indicated in para. 3 above.
5.
Sealed bids must be submitted with the making tender No. Gov.
02/1999/ICB/2007 procurement of Equipment, Project and service
required for ICT Networking and installation, Testing and
Commissioning with the address stated in para. 7 below.
6. Bid
must be accompany by a bids bond amount, Birr 50,000 (Fifty
Thousand) or an equivalent amount in the form of bank guarantee or
C.P.O. cheque established through any commercial bank in Ethiopia
for each bid and addressed to Hawassa University, P.O. Box 05, Tel.
251 46 220 69 28/220 96 76/77/78, Awassa so as to reach it on or
before May 7, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. Bidders are advised to accompany
their signed offer with Microsoft Excel 2000 programme file
diskettes and are also required to strictly follow the item Nos. in
the document.
7. For
bids received by the said deadline, the Technical Bid Offer will be
publicly opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives
at 10:00 A.M. local time on the same date at the Ministry of
Education office No. 119 Hawassa University Liaison Office.
8. Bids
received after the tender box has been sealed will be rejected and
returned unopened.
9. Hawassa
University reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
