1.
The Road Fund Administration of the Federal Democratic
Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated funds within the
Employer’s budget to be used for the procurement of a Contractor for
Dengego, Bure, Negele, Gida Ayana & Mojo Sections Routine term
Maintenance Road Projects.
2.
The Ethiopian Road Authority, on behalf of FDRE, invites
sealed bids from eligible bidders for Dengego, Bure, Negele, Gida
Ayana & Mojo Section Routine Term Maintenance of Roads.
All projects include Package &
Recurring maintenance works of both Asphalt & Gravel Roads Except
Negele & Gida Ayana which is only gravel of about 390KM, 267Km,
379Km, 197Km, and 353 Km respectively.
The contract duration of the work is
three years with a possible extension of two years based on the
performance of the contractor.
3.
Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open
national tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement
Proclamation of the Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to
all eligible bidders which fulfill the following requirement:
a)
In the case of Ethiopian Bidders only, its certificate of
registration from relevant bodies with category GC-V or RC-V & above
for all sections.
b)
In the cast of Bidders other than Ethiopians, any relevant
professional practice certificate
c)
Other appropriate documentary evidence demonstrating the
bidder’s compliance which shall include:
(i)
Its valid trading license and Certificate of registration
renewed for 1999 Ethiopian Calendar year
(ii)
Its tax clearance certificate and VAT registration.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian Roads
Authority and inspect the bidding documents at the address given
below at 7 (a) from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and 1:30 P.M. to 5:30
P.M. from Monday to Thursday and 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. and 1:30
P.M. to 5:30 P.M. on Fridays local time starting from March 19,
2007.
5. A
complete set of bidding documents in English language may be
purchase by interested bidders at the address below at 7 (b) and
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 150 ETB for each project.
The method of payment will be direct deposit to ERA’s account NBE
0160101011500 or direct payment of to ERA cashier. The document
shall be collected from the address below at 7 (a) starting from
March 19, 2007.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 7 (c) at or before May 3,
2007 at 2:30 P.M. and bids must be accompanied by a bid security of
50,000 ETB. Late bids shall be rejected. Bid will be opened in the
presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the
address below at 7 (d) on May 3, 2007 at 2:30, 2:45, 3:00, 3:15 &
3:30 P.M. respectively.
