Description

1.       The Textile and Apparel Industry Project, Addis Ababa, invites sealed bids from internationally reputed bidders for Design, Supply, Erection, Performance Testing and Commission of Machinery, Equipments and Laboratory Instruments for Physical and Mechanical Lab., Chemical Lab., Finishing Lab., Research and Development Lab., Garment Lab. and Library Facilities.

2.       Bidding will be considered in accordance with the open international tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

3.       The bid is divided in to four independent Lots which comprise:

Lot I:         Laboratory facilities

Lot II:       General Apparatus, Glass wares and Chemicals

Lot III:     Workshop and Garment Facilities

Lot IV:     Laboratory Facilities

4.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Textile and Apparel Industry Institute Project and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7 (a) in working hours from the date of announcement.

5.      A complete set of partial of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders at the address below at 7 (b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 500.00 Birr for Lot I & III each and 300.00 Birr for Lot II & IV each. The method of payment will be in cash. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address below at 7 (c) at or before 12:00 A.M. local time on 4, May 2007. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand) bid price (in US Dollar). Late bid shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 7 (d) at 2:00 P.M. local time on 4, May 2007.
