Description

1.       The Tigray Rural Road Authority invites interested eligible bidders for the supply of Road Construction Machineries.

2.      The bid document shall be obtained from the same office against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 100 per lot of document during office hours upon presentation of registration certificate from the Federal Ministry of Finance & Economic Development renewed trade licensed for the year, VAT registration certificate & Tax clearance.

3.       Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office of T.R.R.A.’S Purchasing Division Room No. 12, P.O. Box 14, Mekelle, Ethiopia, Tel. 034 440 81 64

4.      Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open international tendering procedures contained in the public procurement proclamation of the government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

5.      All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of Birr 100,000 in the form of Bank Guarantee (C.P.O.) Bid bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.

6.       Bids shall be submitted in two separate envelopes.

1. Technical Envelope

2. Financial Envelope each having one original and one copy

7.      All eligible certificated under serial No. 2 should be found in the original technical envelope and be submitted in the tender box on the closing date.

8.      Bid bond should be in a separate envelope and be submitted in the tender box together with the original technical envelope.

9.      If suppliers are not manufactures, they should provide an affidavit compliance (Supplier Authorization) from the manufactures.

10.  All bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purchased at or before 5:00 P.M. local time on May 14, 2007.

11.  Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official representatives who wish to attend, on May 15, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. local time.

12.  The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

13.  Failure to comply with any of the condition from (5) to (9) above will result in automatic rejection.
