1.
The Regional Liaison Office for Africa of the United Nations
High Commissioner for Refugees would like to sell used/second-hand
vehicles and invites all interested Ethiopian citizens to submit
their offer for each of the vehicles.
2. The
vehicles could be viewed by interested bidders at Kaliti UNHCR
warehouse, at UNHCR Jijiga office & at Jimma Road Authority Office
only during working hours from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 A.M. and 3:00
P.M.-4:00 P.M. starting from March 5-March 9, 2007.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by all
interested persons from: UNHCR/RLO, Addis Ababa, Bole Road, Woreda
17 Kebele 04, House Number 1255, Logistics Unite and at and UNHCR
Jijiga Admin. Office, between 5 March and 9 March, 2007, upon
payment of non-refundable fee of 10.00 Ethiopian Birr.
4. All
bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, duly signed and
accompanied by a bid security CPO deposit of Birr 1,000.00 for each
vehicle before or on March 9, 2007, at UNHCR Office in Addis Ababa
at the Address specified in Clause 3 above. The amount of Birr 1,000
is refundable for non-successful bidders.
5. Winners
with the best offer will be notified within two weeks of the closing
date.
6. The
vehicles are sold on “AS IT IS. WHERE IT IS” basic.
7. UNHCR
reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
8. Payment
is to be made in CPO before delivery only at UNHCR RLO Addis Ababa.
9. The
successful bidders should satisfy the government regulation
regarding only import or sale taxes that may be imposed on the
vehicle for change of ownership.
