Notice of invitation for Bids
Routine Term Maintenance Works of Bure &
Negele Section Roads
1. The
Road Fund Administration of the Federal Democratic Republic of
Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated funds within the Employer’s budget to
be used for the procurement of a Contractor for Bure & Negele
Sections Routine Terms maintenance Road Projects.
2. The
Ethiopian Roads Authority, on behalf of FDRE, invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for Bure & Negele Sections Routine Terms
Maintenance Roads Projects. All projects include Backlog & Recurring
maintenance works of both Asphalt & Gravel Roads for the case of
Bure Section & Gravel for Negele section of about 267km & 379 Km
respectively.
The contact duration of the work is
three years with a possible extension of one year based on the
performance of the contractor, with the final year adjust rates as
abase price & subject to the agreement of the two parties.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open National tendering
procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the
Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all eligible bidders
which fulfill the following requirements:-
a)
In the case of Ethiopian Bidders only, its certificate of
registration from relevant bodies with category GC-V or RC-V & above
for all sections.
b)
In the case of Bidders other than Ethiopians, any relevant
professional practice certificate
c)
Other appropriate documentary evidence demonstrating the
Bidder’s compliance, which shall include:-
(i ) Its valid trading license and
certificate of registration renewed for 1999
Ethiopian Calendar year
(ii) Its tax clearance certificate
and VAT registration
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian Roads
Authority and inspect the bidding documents at the address given
below at 7(a) from Mondays to Thursdays and 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and
1:30 PM to 5:30 PM on Fridays local time starting from November 15,
2007.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be
purchased by interested bidders at the address below at 7(b) and
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 150 ETB for each project.
The method of payment will be direct deposit to ERA’s account NBE
0160101011500 or direct payment to ERA cashier. The documents shall
be collected from the address bellow at 7(b) starting from November
15, 2007.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 7(c ) at or before
December 27, 2007 at 2:30 PM and bids must be accompanied by a bid
security of 50,000.00 ETV. Late bid shall be rejected. Bid will be
opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to
attend at the address below at 7(d) on December 27, 2007 at 2:45, &
3:00 PM. respectively.
