Application for Fertilizer Foreign
Procurement No.
The Federal
Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has allocated foreign currency for
the importation of fertilizer. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural
Development (MoARD) hereby invites all interested eligible importers
to submit their offers for the importation of 75,000MT 15% Urea
fertilizer in three lots. Detailed guidelines and standard bid
documents can be collected against payment of non-refundable Birr
400.00 or USD 50.00 from the Finance Department of MoARD.
All eligible importers must submit unconditional proof of financial
capability for the important of the fertilizer. Failure to submit
this financial proof will lead to an automatic rejection.
All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Application
for foreign Fertilizer procurement No.
MoARD/FFPC/U/ICB/006/2007”
and addressed to MoARD, Fertilizer Foreign procurement committees,
Addis Ababa. All bids must be
accompanied by a 1% bid bond of the import value in an acceptable
form such as CPO, or Bank Guarantee only and must be submitted on or
before 2:00 P.M. December 11, 2007 at the Agricultural Input Market
Department of MoARD, located on the 9th floor of the
former Coffee and Tea Building.
The MoARD reserves the right to reject or accept any or all of the
bids.
