Section I, Invitation for Bids
FARMER’S CO-OP UNION
1.
The Federal Democratic republic of
Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated foreign Currency for the importation of Mineral
Fertilizer.
2. Accordingly,
the Ministry of Agriculture and rural Development (MOARD) in its
Tender No. MOARD/FFPC/D/ICB/004/2007 has invited all interested
eligible importers to submit their offers for the importation of
75,000 MT# 15% DAP (18-46-0) fertilizer in three lots.
3. DAMOTA
WOLAYTA FARMER’S COOPERATIVE UNION now invites sealed bids from
eligible bidders for the supply of 25,000 MT # 15% DAP (18-46-0)
fertilizers in one lot.
The terms of purchase will read as follows:-
Bulk fertilizer to be bagged at the supplier’s cost at
the
port of
unloading.
C & F/Djibouti Liner out, free on truck
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information
from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the
office of:-

5. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
eligible bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 300 or
equivalent in any freely convertible currency.
6. Bids
shall also be accompanied by overseas supplier’s bid security
equivalent of USD 1 per MT in the form of bank Guarantee and must be
delivered to the above office on or before 11:00 A.M. on November
13, 2007.
7. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose
to attend at 2;00 P.M. on November 13, 2007 at the office of
Agricultural Input Market Department of MOARD located at the 9th
floor of the Coffee & Tea Building.
8. DAMOTA
WOLAYTA Farmers Cooperatives Union reserves the right to reject or
accept any or all of the bids.
