1. The
Federal Democratic republic of
Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated foreign Currency for the importation of Mineral
Fertilizer.
2. Accordingly,
the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MOARD) in its
Tender No. UNION/FFPC/D/ICB/005/2007 has invited all interested
eligible importers to submit their offers for the importation of
75,000 MT #15% DAP (18-46-0) fertilizer in three lots.
3. DAMOTA
WOLAYTA FARMER’S COOPERATIVES UNION now in its own invites sealed
bids from eligible bidders for the supply of 25,000 MT #15% DAP
(18-46-0) fertilizer in one lot.
The terms of
purchase will be read as follows.
Bulk fertilizer to be bagged at the supplier’s cost at the
port of unloading.
C & F/Djibouti Liner out, free on truck
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and
inspect the bidding documents at the office of:

4. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
eligible bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 300 or
equivalent in any freely convertible currency.
5. Bids
must also be accompanied by overseas supplier’s bid security
equivalent of USD 1 per MT in the for of ban Guarantee and must be
delivered tot eh above on or before 11:00 A.M. on December 4, 2007.
6. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose
to attend at 2:00 P.M. on December 4, 2007 at the Office of
Agricultural Input Market Department of UNION located at the 9th
floor of the former Coffee & Tea Building.
7. DAMOTA
WOLAYTA farmers Cooperatives union reserve the right to reject or
accept any or all of the bids.
