SECTION 1 INVITATION TO BID

To all Consultancies of Category V & above whose is license valid for the year 1999 E.C.

1.      The Dessie Teacher Education College now invites sealed bid for provision of consultancy service for design of Class room (g+3); Football field; Swimming pool & recreation center; Rain & waste water disposal; fence & site work. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Dessie Teacher Education College P.O. Box 93, Tel. 033 111 82 32 Fax. 033 111 82 31 at Dessie.

2.      Tender document shall be obtained by an interested eligible bidders on the submission of written application to the DESSIE TEACHER EDUCATION COLLEGE archive upon non-refundable payment of Birr 100 (One Hundred). During the official working hours upon presentation of certificate of registration on the service providers and currently renewed trade license.

3.      Wax-sealed bid documents (one original and one copy) shall be delivered for both prequalification (Technical) and price (Financial) document separately.

4.      All bids must be delivered to the Dessie Teacher Education College up to 20^th consecutive days 12:00 A.M. beginning from the first date of advertisement, if the 20^th consecutive day is not a working day the last submission date will be the next working day up to 12:00 A.M.

5.      Prequalification (Technical) and price (Financial) documents shall be in separate sealed envelopes and must accompanied by a bid security in an acceptable form of 1% of the total bid amount in separate envelope.

6.      Prequalification (Technical) documents will be opened in the presence of bidders and or their legal representatives the 20^th consecutive day beginning from the first date of advertisement at 2:00 P.M time, if the date is not a working day the opening date will be the next working day the opening date will be the next working day at 2:00 P.M. at the office of Dessie Teacher Education College.

7.      Bidders could request advance payment up to 30% of the total bid price by providing advance payment guarantee but for those bidders who did not request advance payment 2% qualifying criteria will be added.

8.      Rejection Criteria:-The employer will reject the bidder whose bid does not fulfill the above criteria & the following conditions.

a.       Bidders should present currently renewed Trade License, & renewed registration Certificate on the Suppliers list.

b.       Copy of the bid shall be signed and sealed in all pages by the Bidder for both Technical and financial documents

c.       Bidders should submit one original & one-copy for both Technical and financial document separately sealed envelope.

9.       Bidders must present certificate of VAT registration.

10.  The Successful bidder shall furnish professional indemnity insurance.

11.  The Employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
