Education III Project for the supply
of furniture
1. The
Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has
received a loan and grant from the African Development Fund in the
amount of UA 32.3 million towards the cost of Education III project
and intends to apply part of the proceeds of the funds to cover
eligible payments under the contract (s) for the procurement of
furniture, including delivery up to Dire Dawa Administration.
2. The
Dire Dawa Education Bureau invites sealed bids from prospective
bidders for the supply of furniture under Lot 1 consisting of the
following items:

Bidding is open
to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the
ADB’s Rules of procedures for the procurement of Goods and Works
Interested eligible bidders should submit a license valid for the
year 2006/2007 and VAT certificate together with the bid documents.
3. Bid
documents (and additional copies) may be obtained at the Dire Dawa Education Bureau Building,
ground floor Room No. 6 on the payment of a non-refundable fee of
Birr 50 (Fifty Birr). Interested bidders may obtain further
information at the same office or by Tel. 12 84 30 (12-84-31), Fax.

4. Bids
shall have valid for a period of 90 calendar days after bid opening
and must be accompanied by security of Birr 12,000 in the form of
cash or cash payment order (CPO) or Bank guarantee valid for a
period of 30 days beyond the date of bid opening. Bids shall be
delivered to the Dire Dawa provisional Education Bureau Room No. 312
before December 3, 2007 at 9:00 A.M.
5. The
Bids will be opened on the same date after the bid closing at 9:30
A.M. at the above address.
6. Price
should be quoted in ETH. Birr. The procurement of furniture should
be completed within a maximum of 120 calendar days from the
commencement of work.
7. Dire
Dawa provisional Education Bureau reserves the right to reject any
or all bids. |
