REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
(CONSULTANCY SERVICE)

ELECTRICITY ACCESS (RURAL) EXPANSION PROJECT

1. The
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF ETHIOPIA has applied for a credit from the
International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of
ELECTRICITY ACCESS (RURAL) EXPANSION PROJECT II. The Borrower
intends to apply a portion of the funds to eligible payments under
the contract for the following project components.
2. Consultancy
services Study on “Project supervision and management.” i.e.
the consultant will be responsible for supervision of works that
consist of medium voltage network, reviewing of the design and the
tender documents for the supply and erection of the materials for
medium voltage and low voltage lines.
3. The
Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation now invites eligible
consultants to indicate their interested in proving the services for
the above project. Interested consultants must provide information
indicating that they are qualified to perform the services
(Brothers, description of similar assignments, experience in similar
conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).
Consultants may associate to enhance their qualification. The
submission will be used to prepare a short list of three to six
consultants who will then be invited to submit proposals to
undertake the assignments.
4. A
consultant will be selected under in accordance with the procedures
set out in the World Bank’s guidelines: selection and employment of
the consultants by the World Bank Borrowers (May 2004).
5. Interested
consultants may obtain further information at the address below
during office hours: Selection from 8:00 to 12:00 hours and 13:00 to
17:00 hours (local time) Monday to Friday.
