FOR THE PARTIAL OR TOTAL
ACQUISITION OF
GOVERNMENT OWNED PUBLIC ENTERPRISES/
SHARE COMPANIES
BID NOTICE NO.002/2007-2008
1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia currently owns 100% equity
of the Share Companies and Enterprise.
2. The
Government intends to sell at least 21% ownership of these Companies
/ Factories to an investor or a group of investors ready and capable
of operating and developing them.
3. The
Privatization and Pubic Enterprises Supervising Agency (PPESA),
pursuant to the powers and duties vested in it by Article 6 of
Proclamation No. 412/2004 hereby, invites all prospective investors
to submit bids for the partial or total acquisition of one or more
of the following Companies.

3. Yekatit Paper Factory Addis Ababa

Construction Works & Coffee Technology Development Enterprise

7. Addis Foam
and Plastic Factory Addis Ababa
8. Adie Ababa

10. Ethiopian
Plywood Factory Addis Ababa
4. The Bid documents will be
available in Room No. 517 of the privatization and public
Enterprises Supervising Agency, Bole Road, 5th floor
starting October 30, 2007.
5. Interested bidders can obtain
documents during working hours upon payment of non-refundable Birr
300.00 (Three Hundred Birr) or the equivalent in U.S. Dollars for
each set of document.
6. Bidders shall submit bid bond in
accordance with the instructions to bidders.
7. Bids shall be submitted in
wax-sealed envelopes on or before December 31, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. local time, addressed as follows:

8.The bids shall be open on the same

9.The Agency
reserves the right to accept or reject bid partially
