The Government
of Tigray National Regional State, water Resources, Mines and Energy
bureau would like to contract out Water Supply Feasibility Study and
Detailed Engineering Design works for the two of Axum, the capital
city of Central Zone of Tigray Region.
The Bureau now
invites all eligible consultants with renewed license & VAT
registered for the year under bid to submit technical and financial
proposals for consulting services required for the assignment named
above Interested consultants must provide information indicating
that they are qualified and licensed to perform such type of work,
and have more than five similar projects in past experience.
The sealed
envelope containing the technical and financial proposals separately
shall be addressed to Tigray Region water Resources, Mines and
Energy Bureau, P.O. Box 520, Telephone 251 34 441 17 95/440 66 77/8,
Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia or submitted to office No. 05 not later
than 25th October 2007 at 9:00 A.M. The bid will be
opened in the same date in the presence of the consultants or their
representatives including those of the absentees at the above stated
office at 9:30 A.M.

A complete set of the document may be purchased by any
interested eligible consultant on the submission of a written
application to the Bureau and upon payment of non-refundable fee of
Birr 500 (Five Hundred Birr). Bid security of the amount Birr
50,000 (Fifty Thousand Birr) in the CPO or bank guarantee
issued directed by reputable bank in Ethiopia has to be provided
during the opening of the bid.

Bid shall be valid for a period if ninety days.
3.
International Consultants are encouraged to seek the
participation of local consultants (national consultants) by
entering in to a joint venture. If so the leading firms should be
specified and legally bounded.
4.
Consultants requiring clarification of the document must
notify the client in writing not later than ten days before the
proposal submission deadline.
5.
A firm will be selected under Quality and Cost-Based
Selection (QCBS) method and procedures described in this request for
proposals (RFP0.
6.
The Bureau reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
