1. The
Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR), of the Federal Democratic
Republic of Ethiopia invites sealed bids from eligible bidders of
Category GC3 and above for the construction of 530 hectare for
Lot-1 and 500 hectare for Lot-2 Irrigation system with in
Tendaho Dam and Irrigation Project. The work under the bids include,
construction of Irrigation supply canals, associated structures,
drainage system and land leveling works.
2. Complete
set of bid documents may be purchased during working hours from the
date of the first announcement /notice advertised in The Ethiopian
Herald/ upon the presence of renewed license and registration
certificate of the fiscal year and a non-refundable fee payment of
Birr 300.00 (Three Hundred Birr) for each Lot at:

3. Bidders
should abide with the regulation and rules of Value Added Tax (VAT)
specified by the government of
Ethiopia. Failure to do so might
result in automatic rejection from the bid.
4. Each
Lot of bid must be accompanied by bid security of not less than
100,000 Birr (One Hundred Thousand Birr) or its equivalent in a
freely convertible currency from a recognized domestic bank. Bidders
can bid for one or two Lots and bids shall be valid for a period of
120 calendar days.
5. Bidders
shall submit five wax-sealed envelopes “Qualification application
(Original and Four Copies)”, Bid (Original and Four copies)” and
“Bid security” separately and should be sealed by an outer envelope
for each Lot to the address stated above.
6. Bids
will be opened and read in the presence of bidders or their
authorized representatives who choose to attend at the Ministry’s
hall. The bid submission and opening date and time will be specified
in the bid document.

8. The
MoWR reserves the right to reject any part or all bids, if
