Contractors of Category GC/BC/, Class 3 and above with license valid
for the year 2000 E.C and can present registration certificate for
construction work service from concerned organization.
1) The
ANRS TVET Promotions Agency has invited wax-sealed bids compromising
of a Technical and Financial proposal from eligible bidders for
providing the necessary labor, material and equipment for the
construction and completion of Head office building at Bahir Dar
Town.
2) Both
the pre-qualification (Technical) and priced (Financial) bid
documents may be obtained by any interested eligible bidders on the
submission of a written application to ANRS TVET Promotions Agency
Starting from April 19, 2008.

upon payment of non-refundable fee Birr 500 for each set and by
presenting license certified in (7.1)

3) Each
bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond in the sum equal
to 2% of the bid amount, which shall remain in forces for 90
calendar days from the bid opening date and shall be in separate
envelope. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a
performance bond in the sum of 10% of the gross bid sum within 15
days from signature.
4) The
construction of works shall be completed with in a maximum of 425
calendar days from the commencement of works.
5) All
bids must be submitted based on the free market price and current
basic materials price must be submitted attached with the bid
document. (However clause 70(1) of the standard conditions of
contract of constructions of civil work project, MOWUD, Dec. 1994 Is
not applicable.
6) Bidders
are warned that they must read and comply in full with the
“INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS”.
7) Rejection
Criteria:- The Client will reject the bidder whose bid does not
fulfill the following conditions.
1.
Bidders should present currently renewed Trade License &
renewed Registration certificate & evidence indicating that the
bidder has preformed tax paying obligation from Federal of Regional
Inland Revenue.
2.
Bidders should complete the Bid Form and the appropriate
price schedule.
3.
Both the pre qualification Technical and Financial bid
documents shall be separate envelopes & wax-sealed (One original &
One copy).
4.
The original & copy of the bid shall be signed & sealed in
all pages by the bidder.
8) The
weights given to the technical, financial & advance payment
conditions are
Technical 60%
Financial 38% Advance payment conditions 2%
9) Sealed
Pre-qualification & priced bid documents shall be submitted to the
above mentioned office on or before May 12, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. hours
and shall be publicly opened the same day and place at 2:30 P.M.
hours when the names of the bidders and the amount of their will be
declared. Bidders advised to attend the opening of bids.

11) The
employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids without giving
