1. Commercial
Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), the leading Commercial Bank in the country,

2. CBE
invites all interested bidders by International Competitive Bid
(ICB) for the Supply, installation and commissioning of Retail
Branch Banking Software.
3. The
Bid document can be obtained from CBE’s Materials Management
Division cited at CBE Gofa Sefer Branch Building, 3rd
Floor, Room No. 304 against payment of a non-refundable fee of
Birr 1,000.00 (One Thousand Birr only) or equivalent convertible
currency during office hours (8:00 A.M-12:00 A.M., 1:00 P.M-4:00
P.M) presenting certificate of registration, trading license or
equivalent, tax clearance certificate and VAT registration.
4. If
a Bidding Document is obtained from the Bank on a Bidder’s behalf,
the Bidder’s name must be registered with the Bank at the time of
sale and issue.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from the office of
Materials Management Division, P.O. Box 255, Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia, Tel. +251-114 67 09 90 Ext. 258, 267 or + 251-114 97 35,
Fax + 251-114 66 97 39 or at the place mentioned above at clause
3.
6. Bid
proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of Birr
30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand Birr) or equivalent convertible currency
in the form of Bank Guarantee or Cashiers Payment Order (C.P.O). Bid
bond in any other form shall not be accepted.
7. Bids
shall be submitted in the tender box prepared for this purpose at
the place mentioned above at clause 3 before
June 5, 2008 at 9:30 A.M.
8. Bid
opening shall be held in the presence of bidders and or their
representatives who wish to attend, on June 5, 2008 at 10:00 A.M at the same place
indicated above.
9. Failure
to comply any of the conditions from (2) to (7) above shall result
in automatic rejection.
10. Partial
bids will not be accepted.
11. The
Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
