German Agro Action (Welthungerhilfe) an international NGO, in collaboration with CCF Ethiopia wants to invite all interested and eligible bidders to construct 15 (Fifteen) Shallow wells for the project to be implemented in Sodo Woreda in Guraghe Zone and Siliti Woreda in Silti Zone, SNNPR for Emergency Water Sanitation & Hygiene project funded by USAID/ German Agro Action (Welthungerhilfe)

A complete set of tendering documents in English may be purchased by interested and eligible bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100.00 ETB (One Hundred Birr only). The method of payment will be in cash. All bidders shall provide the following legal documents original and copies of:

1.       Trade License for well drilling defining the legal status with renewal    for the year under consideration.

2.       VAT Registration and tax payer registration certificate within number

3.       Registration Certificate.

Bid document can be obtained from German Agro Action (Welthungerhilfe) located at Bole road in front of DH Geda Tour 100m from the main road, in Bole Sub City Kebele 03/05 during office hours within 10 consecutive days starting from 1^st April 2008 date of notification of this advertisement on The Ethiopian Herald.

The bid closing date will be on 10^th April 2008 at 4:00 P.M.

All bids must be accompanied by a 2% of bid bond in the form of C.P.O.

The bid shall be wax-sealed and vividly marked bid for shallow well drilling. All bids for shallow well construction should be inserted in the bid box placed in German Agro Action (Welthungerhilfe).

The bid will be opened on 11^th April 2008 at 9:30 A.M. in the presence of bidders or their duly authorized representatives, if the bid opening day is a weekend/holiday, it will be held on the next working day at same time.

Bidders are requested to fulfill all the necessary details in the bid documents.

German Agro Action (Welthungerhilfe) reserves the right to fully or partially cancel the bid.
