1. The
Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has
allocated sufficient budget towards the cost of the Construction of
the under listed project and intends to apply part of the proceeds
to eligible payments for the construction works.

2. The
Ethiopian Roads Authority invites all local Bidders of Category GC-1
or RC-1 registered at the Ministry of Works & Urban Development.
3. Bidders
should renewed their trade license and supplier’s registration
certificate for 2000 Ethiopian Fiscal Year. Bidders should also
bring Tax clearance certificate and VAT registration.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
bidding documents at the address given below from 8:30 to 12:30 A.M.
and 1:30 to 5:30 P.M. from Mondays to Thursday and 8:30 to11:30 A.M.
and 1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. on Friday’s local time.

A complete set of bidding documents prepared in English language may be

5. Bidders
shall submit two envelopes, “Qualification Application & Bid
Security” in one envelope and “Bid separately in an other envelope
and should be sealed in an outer envelope.
6. Evaluation
is to be carried out in two stages, Qualification Document first and
Bids of qualified bidders next.

All bids must be
accompanied by a bid security of 100,000.00 ETB. The Bid document
shall be prepared in one original and four copies. Bids must be
delivered to the address below. Late bids will be rejected.
Qualification Application and Bid security of the bidders will be
opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to
attend at the address below on the final date and time of bid
submission as stated above.

8. Bid
