Procurement No. 0203/2008
1. The
Ethiopian Customs Authority (ECuA) has funds with in the Procuring
entity’s budget to be used for the civil work and procurement of
weighbridge and supervision for errection, commission and training
on the job at Jijiga Customs Branch Office.
2. The
Ethiopian Customs Authority (ECUA) invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the civil work, supply and delivery of weighbridge and
supervision for errection, commission and training on the job.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering
procedures contained in the public procurement proclamation of the
Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopian and is
open to all eligible bidders.
4. Bidders
who can provide a registration certificate from Ministry of Finance
and Economic Development renewed trade license for 2000 E.C. and
recent Tax Clearance from Land Revenue or concerned Bureau and VAT
registration certificate from the concerned Authority can
participate for the Bid.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Ethiopian
Customs Authority the address given below at 8(a).
6. A
complete set of bidding documents in English language may be
purchased by interested bidders at the address below 8(b) and upon
payment of a non-refundable fee of 300.00 (Three Hundred) Ethiopian
Birr. The method of payment will be in cash.
7. Bids
must be delivered to the address at 8 ( c) before or on May 29,
2008, 12:30 A.M. local time. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Ethiopian
Birr 10, 000.00 (Ten Thousand) in the form of bank guarantee or
cashier’s payment order (C.P.O). Late bids shall be rejected. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ representatives who
choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) at
2:00 P.M. May 29/2008.

9. The
Ethiopian Customs Authority reserves the right to reject any or all
of the bids.
