1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has obtained grant from the
Royal Netherlands Government through NUFFIC toward the cost of ICT
Development Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of
this grant to payments under the contract for the procurement of
ICT Training Center Equipment.
2. The
ICT Development Project now invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the ICT Training Center Equipment to be procured through
provisions made under the project.

Bid will be evaluated and contract(s)
awarded for the lot taking into account, discounts offered, if any,
in determining the lowest evaluated cost which will be the basis for
award of contract. However, bids not offering 100% if the items will
be treated as incomplete and rejected as non responsive.
3. Bidding
will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures and is open to all eligible bidders.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Dutch Higher
Education Project Coordination Office at the address given below and
inspect the Bidding Documents from
8:30 A.M. to 12:30 A.M. and 1:30
to 5:30 P.M. during working days.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr
300.00 or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. The
method of payment will be in the form of cash.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00 A.M. on
May 26, 2008. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of
bidders or the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the
address given below at 10:00 A.M. on May 26, 2008
