INVITATION FOR BIDS (2^nd time)

Addis Ababa Government Fire and Emergency service invites all interested and eligible bidders to bid for the supply of fire chemicals, fire safety Equipments and powered sand by generator.

1.      Development, renewed trade license for the current year and VAT registration certificate.

2.      Bid documents can be obtained from the finance of office No. (105) during office hours against non-refundable table payment of Birr 50 form the date of the issuance of this bids on The Ethiopian Herald.

3.      All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of Birr 7,000 in the form of Bank Guarantee of Cahier’s Payment Order (C.P.O.) or cash. Bid Bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.

4.      Bids shall be submitted in two separate envelopes:-1) Technical envelope 2) Financial envelope, each having one original and one copy.

5.      All eligibility certificates cited in Item No. 1 (Registration certificate form the Federal Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, renewed Trade License for the current year and VAT registration Certificate) should be found in the original technical envelope, and are placed in the tender box on or before the final bid submission date.

6.      Bid bond should be in separate envelope and be placed in the tender box together with the original technical envelope.

7.      Bidders who are not the manufacturer of the goods supplied must provide manufacturer’s authorization valid for 2008.

8.      All bids must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose on or before 5:30 P.M. local time on May 6, 2008 in the office No. 251.

9.      Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders and/or their official representatives who wish to attend, on May 7, 2008 at 10:00 A.M.

10.  Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office AACM Property and General Service P.O. Box 27326, Or 356 Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 0111-57 29 57.

11.  Addis Ababa City Government Fire and Emergency service reserve the right to accept or reject the bids.
