1. The
Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research invites wax-sealed
tender documents form eligible bidders for furnishing the necessary
labour, material, equipment and service for the construction of
Dormitory and Office Building at Wondo Genet.
2. The
construction works shall be completed within 210 Calendar days form
the commencement of the works.
3. Domestic
Contractors are required to submit proof of their up to date
registration from Ministry of Infrastructure Development & Trade
Bureau at the place of registration is BC/GC 6 and above.

For non-refundable fee of 200(Two
Hundred) Birr.
5. Bids
shall be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must be
accompanied by security of 10,000 (Ten Thousand Birr) and shall be
delivered to Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research on the 30th
days before 12:00 A.M. form the 1st issuance date of the
bid on The Ethiopian Herald.
6. The
Bid Security shall, at the Bidder’s option, be in the form of a
certified cheque or payable order, bank draft, letter or credit, or
an unconditional bank guarantee. Securities issued by foreign banks
or financial institutions shall be counter-guaranteed by an
Ethiopian bank. The format of the Bid Security should be in
accordance with the form of Bid Security include in Section 4,
Bidding Forms or another form acceptable to the Employer. Bid
Security shall be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the Bid.
7. Bids
will be opened on the same date at 2:00 P.M. in the Conference hall of the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural
Research (EIAR) in presence of the bidders or their representatives.
8. The
Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR) reserves the
rights to accept or reject any or all bids.
