To All GC/BC 1, with license valid
for the year 2007/2008.
1. The
Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) Water and
Sanitation, Development and Rehabilitation Project Office invites
eligible bidders for furnishing the necessary labor, material,
equipment and services for the construction of AAWS-Eastern Branch
Office Building (B+G-+5) in Addis Ababa, Bole subcity. The work
consists of construction of the Branch Office Building and Site Works
in Bole sub city locality.
2. The
construction works shall be completed in 786 Calendar days form the
commencement day of the works.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may purchase a bidding document upon presentation
of work permit and renewed trade licenses from the Ministry of Works
and Urban Development for the year 2007/2008 (2000 E.C.) VAT and Tax
payer’s registration certificate in addition from responsible
bureau.
4. A
complete set of bidding Documents may be purchased starting from
August 15, 2008 onwards during office hours against payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 500 (Five Hundred Birr) form the under
mentioned project office.
5. Bids
shall be submitted in two separate envelopes on TECHNICAL and the
other FINANCIAL separately each having one original and two copies.
6. All
envelopes shall be wax-sealed and inserted in a bigger envelope. The
outer and inner envelopes shall bear the full address of the bidder.
The outer envelopes shall also bear the following.
“DO NOT OPEN
BEFORE September 15, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. local time.
Bids must be
deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose at AAWSA water
and sanitation; development, and rehabilitation project office on or
before September 15, 2008, 10:00 A.M. local time.
7. Bidders
are advised to read the Instruction to Bidders before filling in
their bids and must quote for all items of work.
8. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, in the form of Bank
guarantee, CPO or cashier’s check amounting to Birr 100,000.00
(Hundred Thousand) Birr, which shall remain in force for 90 calendar
days from the bid opening date and shall be in separate envelope.
Bid bond in any other form shall not be accepted.
9. Bids
shall be opened on
September 15, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. local time
at The Project Office in the presence
of the bidders or their legal representatives who wish to attend.
10. The
AAWSA-Water and Sanitation; Development and Rehabilitation Project
Office reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids.
