Hawassa Town Water Supply and Sewerage Service
Enterprise Water Supply and Sanitation Project
[IDA-Credit 4292 –ET & IDA –Grant 287-ET]
Supply of Double cabin Pick-up Vehicle
1. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a credit (hereinafter called
“credit”) from the World Bank towards the cost of the Water supply
and Sanitation Project and intends to apply part of the funds to
cover eligible payments under the Contract for Procurement of Double
cabin Pick-up Vehicle required for (HAWASSA Town Water Supply &
Sanitation Project.
2. Hawassa
Town Water supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise now invites sealed
bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Supply of one Double
cabin Pick-up: Vehicle with spare parts.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Hawassa Town
Water Supply and Sewerage Service Enterprise, Room No.01, Hawassa
and inspect the Bidding Documents at this address from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and from 1:30 P.M.
to 5:30 P.M. Monday to Thursday and 8:30 A.M.
to 11:30 P.M. and from 1:30 P.M. to 5:30 on Friday.
4. Bidding
will be conducted though the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to for all Eligible
bidders as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Qualifications
requirements include: Bidder should have the experience on supplying
at list two contractors similar size in the last five years,
supported with names of clients, type and value of contracts.
6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written Application at the
address given below, upon payment of ETB 50 non-refundable fees. The
method of payment will be in cash or cheque against receipt.
7. Bids
must be delivered to Hawassa Town Water Supply and Sewerage Service
Enterprise Room No. 01, Hawassa at or before 20, Jan. 2009, 10:00
A.M. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
8. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend in person at 10:30 A.M. on the same day at the
Enterprise Hall. Bids shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90)
days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security not
less than 2% of the total bid price in Ethiopia Birr on an
equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
