Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene Project
Credit 3901-ET and Grant H850-ET
IFB Title: supply of Hand pumps and Spare parts.
The Amhara National Regional State through
the Government of Ethiopia has received financing from the world
bank/DFID for the Water supply and Sanitation Project and intends to
apply part of the funds for eligible payments under the Contract for
Procurement of Hand Pumps tender I.D. No. ARWRB.HP/002/2008 for the
Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program in the region.
1. The
Regional Water Resources Development Bureau now invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for the supply of a minimum of 126 Afredev
hand pumps and spare parts. Partial Bids will not be acceptable.
2. Bidding
will be carried through National competitive biding process (NCB) as
specified in the world Banks Guidelines: procurement under IBRD
loans and IDA credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible
source countries as defined in the guidelines.
3. Bidding
documents in English may be purchasing by interested bidders at
Amhara Regional Water Resources Development Bureau Program
management unit office, Room No. 02, Bahir Dar Town for a non-refundable
fee of Birr 200.00 (Two Hundred Ethiopian Birr), upon submission of
written application. Bidders may obtain further information at the
same address.
4. Bids
must be delivered to the same address mentioned above, at or before
10:00 A.M. after 30 calendar days from the first announcement of
this notice on The Ethiopian Herald, Electronic bidding will not be
permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
5. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders or representatives who
choose to attend in person at 10:30 A.M. at the bid closing date in
the same place mentioned above. Bids shall be valid for a period of
One Hundred and Twenty (120) days after bid opening and must be
accompanied by bid security of not less than 2% of the total bid
price in Ethiopian Birr.
6. The
Ethiopian reserves the right to reject all or part of the Bid.
