Supply of pipes and fitting
1. This
invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this
project that appeared in Development business, November 2004.
2. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a credit from the IDA
International Bank for Reconstruction an development \International
Development Association towards the cost of water supply and
sanitation project, and it intends to apply part of the Proceeds of
this (loan\credit) to payments under the contract for supply of
pipes and fitting ICB OR WRB\UWSSG\001\2008.
3. The
Oromia Regional Water Resources Bureau now invites sealed bid from
eligible and qualified bidders for pipes and fittings

4. Bidding
will be conducted though the International Competitive Bidding (ICB)
Procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: procurement
under IBRD loans And IDA credits, and are open to all bidders from
Eligible source as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Oromia Region
Water Resources bureau, WaSH program support staff, room No. 403,
fifinnee\Addis Ababa\ and inspect the Bidding Documents at this
address from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 P.M to 5:30 P.M Monday to Friday.

7. Bidder
should have the experience on supplying at list two contracts
similar size in the last five years, supported with names of
clients, type and value of contracts.A complete set of Bidding
Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the
submission of a written Application at the address given below, upon
payment of an ETB 250 or USD 25.00 non-refundable fees. The method
of payment will be in cash or cheque against receipt.
8. Bids
must be delivered to the Oromia Regional Water Resources bureau,
program support office, Bole Road, 4thfloor, Room No.403, Finfinnee,
(Addis Ababa) at or before feb.8,2009 at 02:00P.M Electronic bidding
will not permitted .Late bids will be rejected.
9. Bids
will be opens in the presence of the bidders \representatives who
choose to attend in person at 02: 30 P.M. on February 8, 2009 at
Oromia Regional Water Resources Bureau conference Hall. Bids shall
be valid for a period of one Hundred and Twenty (120) days after Bid
opening and must be accompanied by bid security of (CPO) not less
than 2% of the total bid price in Ethiopian Birr or an equivalent
amount in a freely convertible currency.
