Contractors Category GC/Bc-4 and above which license valid
for the year 2000 E.C.
1. The
Government of FDRE has obtained a Grant from the German Financial
Cooperation (KfW) for financing the “Urban Development Fund” (UDF).
Portion of this fund has been allocated for Bishoftu City
Administration, by the National Streeting Committee, towards the
cost of Construction Work of Market shops and related works.
2. The
Bishoftu City Administration invites qualified contractors of stated
category with relevant experience and valid license to submit
wax-sealed tenders for the Civil Works Construction of market centre
upgrading project.
3. The
work on offer mainly consists of the following components:
a)
Shops
b)
Site Work
4. Bidders
must have a valid registration certificate form Ministry of Works
and Urban Development and must be registered for VAT.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the

6. A
compete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased against payment of
Birr 400.
7. The
tender must be accompanied by a Tender Security in an amount of ETB
100,000.00 in the form of a certified cheque, bank guarantee or
stated in ITB form a reputable bank in Ethiopia in the form provided
in the Tender Documents.
8. Tenders
must be delivered to the address given below on or before 2:00 P.M. on January 20, 2009.

9.
Tenders will be opened in the presence of those Tender’s
representatives who choose to attend at the Conference Hall of City
Administration at 2:00 P.M. on January 20, 2009.
10. Tenders
shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after tender
opening.
11. The
City Administration reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
