Contractors of Category GC4/BC4 and above, with license valid for
the year 2000 E.C.
1. The
Government of FDRE has obtained a Grant from the German Financial
Cooperation (KFW) for financing the “Urban Development Fund” (UDF).
Portion of this find has been allocated for Jimma City
Administration, by the National Steering Committee, towards the cost
of Construction Work.
2. The
Jimma City Administration invites sealed bids from eligible bidders
for furnishing the necessary labor, material, equipment and services
for the construction and completion of Jimma Market Upgrading
Project.
3. The
work on offer mainly consists of the following components:
a)
Construction of shops and drainage works at Hermata
b)
Construction of shops and drainage works at Qochie
4. Bidders
must have a valid registration certificate from Ministry of Works
and Urban Development and must be registered for VAT.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the

6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased against payment
of Birr 400.00.
7. The
tender must be accompanied by a Tender Security in an amount of
Birr 70,000.00 in the form specified in the ITB.
8. Tenders
must be delivered to the address given below on or before
2:00 P.M. January 20, 2009.

9. Tenders
will be opened in the presence of those Tender’s representatives who
chose to attend at
Jimma Municipality, Jimma
at 2:00 P.M. January
20, 2009.
10. Tenders
shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after tender
opening.
11. The
City Administration reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
