Supply of Hand Pumps with Spare Parts

1. This
invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this
project that appeared in United Nation Development Business, issue
No. 661, dated 31 January 2006.
2. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a Grant from the African
Development Bank in various currencies to finance the cost of Water
Supply and sanitation projects. It is intended that part of the
proceeds of this grant will be applied to eligible payments under
the contract for Procurement of Hand Pumps with Spare parts for
Rural Water Supply Program in the region.
3. The
Oromia Regional Water Resources Bureau now invites sealed bids from
eligible bidders for the supply of:

4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
bidding documents at the office of Oromia Regional Water Resources
Bureau, Program Support Staff Office,
Bole Road, 4th floor, room No. 403,

Finfinnee.
5. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application renewed trade
license, VAT Certificate and Tax Identification Number Certificate
to the above mentioned address and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 150.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the above office on or before 2:00 P.M. January
26, 2009 and shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after
bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security of not less than
2% of the total bid price in CPO. The Regional Water Resources
Bureau reserves the right to reject all or part of the bid.
7. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives, who
choose to attend 2:30 P.M. January 26, 2009 at Oromia Regional Water
Resources Bureau, Conference Hall, 3rd floor, Bole Road,
Finfine /Addis Ababa/.
