1. Gondar
Town Water Supply & Sewerage Service though the Government of the
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit/grant
from the International Development Association (IDA) for the Town's
Water Supply and Sanitation Project, and it intends to apply part of
the proceeds towards eligible payments under the contract for the
Light Duty Cargo Truck.
2. The
Gondar Town Water Supply & Sewerage Service now invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for the supply of these goods.
3. The
delivery period is between 30 & 45 days after contract singing.
4. Bidding
will be conducted though the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
according to the procedures specified in the World Bank Guidelines;
and is open to all bidders from eligible Source Countries as defined
in the Bidding Documents. Bid comparisons will be on lot basis-you
must bid for all items in the bid.
5. Interested
eligible bidder may obtain further information from the Gondar Town
Water Supply & Sewerage Service the Gondar Town Water Supply &
Sewerage Service (GTWSSS), and inspect the bidding documents at the
address given below.
6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the
address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 150.
7. Bids
shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening
and must be accompanied by bid security of not less than 2% of the
total contract price in the form of C.P.O. or Bank guarantee and
shall be delivered to the Gondar Town Water Supply & Sewerage
Service, Gondar, Ethiopia, office No.6 on the 1st March
2009 at 4:00 P.M. & it will be opened in the same date at 4:30PM in
presence of bidders/their representatives who wish to attend.
Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids will be
rejected.
8. Request
for clarifications shall be 10 days before deadline for bid
submission.
9. The
office reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
