The Axum City Administration has funds within the
ULGDP budget to be used for the procurement of Drainage Projects.

2. The
Axum City Administration invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the provision of Construction Drainage Project.
The work should be completed within 90 days from the starting date
of the contract.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering
procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the
Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders from
eligible source counties. Domestic contractors of category GC-6/RC-6
and above, with licenses valid for the year 2008/2009 are eligible
to participate in the bid.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Axum City
Municipality-project Office, at
Axum Municipal, Tel. 0347-75 24 74,
0347-75 22 59 and inspect
the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) from
8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. morning and 2:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M in the
after noon local time.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders at the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of
a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 200. The method of
payment will be in cash.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) at or before 2:00
P.M. local time on January 26, 2009 and must be accompanied by a bid
security of Ethiopian Birr 50,000 or an equal amount in a freely
convertible currency for each lot. Late bids shall be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders/representatives
who choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) at 2:30 P.M. local
time on January 26, 2009.
