1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated foreign
currency for the importation mineral fertilizers.
2. Accordingly,
the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) in its
tender No. MoARD/FFPC/D/ICB/003/2008 and MoARD/FFPC/U/ICB/004/2008
has invited all interested eligible importers to submit their offers
for the importation of 200,000 MT +20% DAP & 75,000 MT +20% UREA
fertilizer respectively.
3. The
Agricultural Inputs Supply Enterprise now in its own:

AISCO/D/006/2008… 200,000 MT+20% DAP (18-46-0)
Tender No.
AISCO/U/007/2008…. 75,000 MT +20% UREA (46%N)
Invites sealed
bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the above mineral
fertilizer.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
Bidding Documents at the office of:

5. A
complete set of each bidding documents may be purchased by
interested eligible bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of
Birr 300.00 or equivalent in a freely convertible currency.
6. Bids
shall also be accompanied by overseas supplier’s bid security’s
equivalent of USD 1 (One) per MT in the form of Bank Guarantee &
must be delivered to the above Office on or before 11:00 A.M. on January 20, 2009 for Bid No.
AISCO/D/006/2008 & AISCO/U/007/2008.
7. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose
to attend at 11:30 A.M. January 20, 2009 for both DAP & UREA
Fertilizer at the Agricultural Inputs Supply Enterprise main office
Assembly Hall.
8. AISCO
reserves the right to reject or accept any or all of the bids.
