1. The
Amhara National Regional State Education Bureau invites all eligible
bidders to submit sealed bids for the supply or procurement of
PLASMA TV, SPARE PARTS, GENERATORS & TV NETWORKING SERVICE for
Preparatory and General Secondary schools in four packages.
2. Bidders
both International or local should provide copies of relevant and
valid documents. Local bidders need to submit a license valid for
the year 2001 E.C. VAT and TIN registration certificate and evidence
indicating that the bidder has performed tax paying obligations from
Federal or Regiona1 Inland Revenue.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from ANRS Education
Bureau and inspect the bidding document at the address given below
from Monday to Friday on working hours.
4. A
complete set of bidding document may be purchased by interested
bidder on submission of a written application together with
documents indicated on number 2 above up on payment of a
non-refundable fee of Eth. Birr 100 or its equivalent in freely
convertible currency to the Finance Bureau in cash, CPO or cheque.
5. Bidding
will be conducted through ICB (International Competitive Bidding)
procedure and is open to all eligible bidders. Bid evaluation and
award of contract shall be on package bases. Therefore, bidders have
the option to bid for one or two packages. The delivery places or
sites of goods or services are Preparatory and General Secondary
Schools found in the Region whose names and addresses will be
mentioned in the bid document.
6. Bids
shall be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must be
accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the total bid price in the
form of certified cheque, CPO or a bank guarantee and must be
delivered with the bid document together with copies of documents
indicated on number 2 above to the address given below on or before
2:00 P.M. 20, January 2009.
7. Bids
shall be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives
who choose to attend at 2:30 P.M 20, January 2009 at the conference
room of Amhara National Regional State Education Bureau, Late bids
will be rejected.
8. The
ANRS Education Bureau reserves the right to accept or reject all or
part of the bids.
