1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a loan from
Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) towards the
cost of Kibre Mengist & Shakiso Water Supply Project. It is
intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to
eligible payment under the contract for Supply of Pipes and
Fittings.
2. The
Oromia Water Resources Bureau (OWRB) now invites sealed bids from
eligible bidders for the Supply of Different Category Pipes and
Fittings.

3. Bidding
documents, (and additional copies) may be purchased from office of
Oromia Water Resources Bureau (OWRB) Addis Ababa, Ethiopia up on
presentation of 2000 E.C. Renewed Relevant License, Registration
Card issued from Ministry of Finance, Registration card for VAT, TAX
payer Registration Certificate (Tax Identification Number) together
with WRITTEN APPLICATION & up on Payment of a non-refundable fee
of Ethiopian Birr 500.00 (Five Hundred Birr) or its equivalent is US
Dollars, for each set. Interested Bidders may obtain further

4. The
provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General
Conditions of Contact are the provisions of the BADEA Standard
Bidding Documents: Procurement of Goods.
5. Bids
must be delivered to the office under item 4 above, on or before
12:00 A.M. (Local Time), on March 24, 2008 and must be
accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2% (Two
percent), of the total bid price in the form of certified check or
Bank guarantee fro a domestic reputable Bank.
6. Bids
will be opened at the same date in the presence of
Bidders/representatives who choose to attend on March 24, 2008 at
02:00 P.M. (Local Time), at the Office of:

7. The
Bureau reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
