1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has allocated foreign
currency for the importation of Mineral fertilizers.
2. Accordingly,
the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development (MoARD) in its
Tender No. MoARD/FFPC/U/ICB/008/2008 has invited all interested
eligible importers to submit their offers for the importation of
50,000 MT + 15% Urea fertilizer in two lots.
3. The
Agricultural Inputs Supply Enterprise now in its own invites sealed
bids from eligible bidders for the supply of 25,000 MT + 15% Urea
fertilizers in one lot.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
Bidding Documents at the office of:

5. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
eligible bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 300.00
or equivalent in any freely convertible currency.
6. Bids
shall also be accompanied by overseas supplier’s bid security’s
equivalent of USD per MT in the form of Bank Guarantee and must be
delivered to the above office on or before 10:00 A.M. on January 25,
2008.

Bids will be opened in the presence of
bidders/representatives who choose to attend at 2:00 P.M. January
25, 2008 at the Ministry of Agricultural & Rural Development main
office (Kazanchis) assembly Hall.
8. AISCO
reserves the right to reject or accept any or all of the bids.
