Description

1.      The Oromia National Regional State has allocated sufficient budget to the used for the procurement of the construction of Dedessa River Bridge (60m. span) and construction of both sides Approach (about 400m long.) on Chewaka –Efrem Rural Road project found on boarder of IIu Abba Bora & West Wollega Zones.

2.      The Oromia Rural Road Authority (ORRA) now invites sealed bids from all eligible Contractors of Category GC-3 or RC-3 and above for the Construction of Dedessa River Bridge and its approach.

3.      Bidders who can provide Renewed & Relevant registration Certificate from Ministry of Works & Urban Development, renewed Trade License for 2000 E.C. Recent Tax Clearance from Inland Revenue Authority can participate fir the BID.

4.      Upon submission of a written application together with documents listed under No. 3 above, a complete set of bidding documents can be purchased from ORRA’s Procurement Branch, Room No. 33 (7^th Floor) addressed below, against non-refundable payment of Birr 300 starting from the date of the 1^st appearance of this invitation notice on The Ethiopian Herald.

5.      Construction of the project under caption will be completed within 300 calendar days.

6.      Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding Procedure (NCBP) to be specified in the bidding documents.

7.      Bidders must produce One Original & Three Photocopies of Technical Proposal and Financial Proposal in different wax-sealed envelopes, and each proposal shall be sealed in such a way that “One original & Two photocopies” to be sealed in one envelope, while the third copy shall be sealed in another envelopes separately and labeled as “One Original & Two Photocopies” and :One Photocopy” as appropriate and MUST be placed in the bid box of ORRA, 7thh floor on or before February 13, 2008, at 3:00 P.M.

8.      Bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond of Birr 75,000.00 in the form of Bank guarantee or CPO only.

9.      Technical Proposals will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their Authorized representatives, who may choose to attend, on February 13, 2008 at 3:30 P.M. in Room No. 33, 7^th floor.

10.  Financial Proposal of qualified bidders will be opened in the same place after 12 days from the opening date of Technical Proposals, i.e. February 25, 2008 at 3:30 P.M.

11.  The Oromia Rural Roads Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
