1. The
Ethiopian Roads Authority invites sealed bids from registered
suppliers under International Competitive Bidding (ICB) for the
supply of:
Dynamite 134,475.50 Kg.
Emulsions 206,374.50 Kg.
Blasting Agent 199,443.89 Kg
Blasting Caps Electric delay detonator/2x7=62,784.64 ea.
Blasting Caps m/Electric delay detonator 2x10mts.=58,893.22 ea.
2. Where
s Supplier wishes to bid for this contract but not yet registered in
the approved suppliers’ list may apply to the relevant authority for
registration.
3. The
bidding documents may be purchased by interested suppliers from the
office of the Procurement Services located at the 1st
Floor Room No. 106 against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr
100.00 or in another freely convertible currently currency of
equivalent amount and upon presentation of Trade License renewed for
1999 E.C. and tax clearance certificate and VAT registration
certificate.
4.
This invitation for bid is open to all interested bidders
regardless of their nationality and the bid evaluation and award
shall be determined in accordance with the provisions indicated in
the bidding document. The bidding document is prepared in English
Language.
5. Bids
must be delivered to the above office or deposited in the Tender Box
situated at the 1st Floor Room No.106 before the closing
date and time on February 21, 2008 at 10:00 A.M.
6. Bids
must be accompanied with a Bid Security of not less than Birr
100,000.00 (Birr One Hundred Thousand) or in another freely
convertible currency of equivalent amount. The Bid security should
be either in a form of Cashier’s cheque or certified cheque or
Letter of Credit or Bank Guarantee or cash deposited against
receipt. Bid securities in the form of Insurance bond or in any form
other than these shall not be acceptable.
7. Bids
will be opened at 10:00 A.M. on February 21, 2008 in the Ethiopian
Roads Authority conference room located at the 4th floor,
in the presence of bidders and /or their representatives who choose
to attend.
